Three Teeth Croaker
Scientific Name – Otolithes ruber
The Three Teeth Croaker fish inhabits the entire length of the Indian ocean from Madagascar in the West to the entire Indonesian archipelago reaching out to the open seas of the Pacific Oceans. This fish normally moves around the coastal areas.
Croaker is a lean fish with a sweet taste. The flesh is firm, off-white in color and the skin is edible. They taste good when dusted with cornmeal or flour and pan-fried. They are also salted.
Croaker fishes contain minerals like selenium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, iron, etc. They have almost all the B vitamins like B1, B2, B3, B5, B9, and B12 along with vitamins E and K. They obviously are one of the vitamin-rich fish in the ocean.
