Scientific Name – Cynoglossus sps
Tongue sole is a flatfish that feeds on other fish and crustaceans. Adult fish live in shallow muddy bottoms. They are found sometimes in the estuarine depths also.
The fish when fried has a crispy coating. It has a sweet flavor with very firm and small flaked flesh.
The fish is low in Saturated Fat. It is also a good source of Vitamin D, Niacin, Vitamin B, b12 and minerals like Phosphorus, Selenium, and Potassium apart from being a good source of protein.
